Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Dele Momodu has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of actively working to dismantle the opposition.
Momodu alleged that the APC employs tactics such as buying off susceptible individuals and intimidating those who resist in order to destabilize opposing parties.
Speaking on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Momodu attributed all challenges facing the PDP to the actions of the APC.

He specifically criticized President Bola Tinubu for allegedly suppressing opposition despite his past as an opposition leader who successfully led his party to dislodge the PDP as the ruling party.
“APC will do everything possible to destroy opposition; buy those who are buyable, to terrorize those who are not buyable and make sure that the party is in disarray, that is all,” Momodu stated, expressing his disillusionment with the current state of opposition politics under the APC-led government.
Momodu reminisced about his admiration for Tinubu’s role as an opposition leader in Lagos, noting the stark contrast in his approach to opposition now that he is in government.
He described the situation as an irony, highlighting the challenges faced by the PDP in resolving internal crises that arose from its 2023 presidential election primary fallout, which ultimately contributed to its defeat in the general election.
