Mrs Ndidi Abanum has vowed to make ex-militants commissioners in her cabinet if she becomes the next governor of Delta State.
Abanum, who picked up a nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday ahead of the party’s November 29 Governorship Primary election, also said she would bridge the gap between the rich and the poor in the state.
Abanum, who hails from the Ukwani speaking part of Delta, announced that she was not one to be intimidated out of the race by anybody. She promised to fight poverty if elected.
“When you put food on the table of the masses, the rich will enjoy their money in peace, but by the time the common man does not have food to eat, there will be problem. I am going in to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and that is my calling,” Abanum said.
