Senator Iyiola Omisore, has reportedly refunded a total of N350million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to a report by The Nation Newspaper, Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State, paid back the sum, which is part of the N1.7billion public funds traced to him.
It was reported that Omisore first made a payment of N300million and another N50million to to the anti-graft agency on Friday, November 4, 2016.
This is coming after Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro said out of the N4.685billon transferred to Sylva McNamara Limited, N1.7billion was given to Omisore.
The funds are part of the funds disbursed by the Office of ex-National Security Adviser (ONSA), Sambo Dasuki.
