The National Coordinator of JKF Forward Champions, Hon Olu Okeya has appealed to all the governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ekiti State not to engage in a campaign of calumny.

He made the call in Ado Ekiti while addressing some group of people on the need to support Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration.

Hon. Okeya urged them to embrace issue-based campaigns rather than attacking themselves.

The APC chieftain explained that since they were from the same political party they should see themselves as one and play up their advantages.

According to him, whoever emerges as the party candidate during the primary should extend the olive branch to others because the party does not need a divided house if it must win an election.

He said “I want everyone to go to their local wards and continue to work toward the victory of the party in the forthcoming election,” he said.

Hon. Okeya expressed the belief that Governor Kayode Fayemi would give a level playground to all aspirants during the primary and support whoever emerges as candidate of the party.

He used the forum to commend the leadership style of Governor Fayemi, saying he deserved another leadership position in the country.

Hon Okeya solicited the support of residents of Ekiti State for Governor Fayemi to achieve more success.
