MARLBOROUGH, MA–(Marketwired – Jun 11, 2014) – Electronic Environments Corporation (EEC), a leader in mission critical facility management for nearly three decades, today announces the launch of its expanded Mission Critical Construction Services Division as well as the strategic addition of Division President Kevin O’Brien to its executive team.
EEC perceives data centers as a single, integrated system rather than separate and distinct pieces, and as such has taken a unique and holistic approach to all phases of the data center lifecycle known as Integrated Critical Infrastructure Solutions™ (ICIS). Boasting over 28 years of leadership and success in mission critical facility management, EEC assists customers in overcoming all challenges with comprehensive, integrated facility services through its new Mission Critical Construction Services Division. EEC enables customers to reach their Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) objectives, leveraging a unique offering of solutions and services in five categories: planning, design management, construction, operations and maintenance, and assessments.
Appointed President of the Mission Critical Construction Services Division, Mr. O’Brien brings to EEC over 30 years of engineering and construction experience, with the last 15 years dedicated solely to mission critical construction servicing a wide array of industries. Throughout his career with Structure Tone, Gilbane, Inc. and Bear Stearns, O’Brien was entrusted with over 13 million square feet of critical construction projects, utilizing his expertise in preconstruction, estimating, procurement, construction, and commissioning. An industry veteran, his leadership of the Mission Critical Construction Services Division will not only uphold but also accelerate delivery of the proven offerings and high standards for which EEC is known throughout the industry.
“I am thrilled to be joining an organization dedicated to mission critical facilities. EEC’s unique, integrated approach has enabled the company to offer customers superior support in all aspects of the data center environment,” O’Brien stated. “Through the expansion of its Mission Critical Construction Services Division, EEC can now fulfill critical customer requirements throughout all phases of the data center lifecycle.”
“EEC is proud to announce the expansion of our Mission Critical Construction Services Division and welcomes Kevin to the team,” says EEC Founder and CEO, Ken Rapoport. “By coupling our proven facility management practices and industry expertise with Kevin’s mission critical construction experience and leadership ability, EEC successfully extends its proven, integrated services model to provide customers with enhanced offerings in the areas of critical facility design, planning, implementation, and testing.”
