    #ENDSARS: Protest Becomes Bloody in Surulere as Police Kills 1, injures 2

    On Monday, October 12, the # EndSARS protest against police brutality, extortion, and extra-judicial killings in the Surulere region of Lagos State turned violent.

    The Infostride heard that police officers fired the # EndSARS demonstrators indiscriminately to disperse them.

    In the meantime, bullets reportedly hit two of the demonstrators.

    After efforts by young medics failed, the young man dressed in a red T-shirt and black trousers surrendered.

    Since then, the demonstrators also posted photographs and videos on social media of the victims.

    Medics were shown in a film struggling with drip and other equipment to keep him alive.

    There was another one filmed with a bullet embedded in his thigh.

    There are armed policemen in strategic positions shooting live bullets.
