According to Brila FM, Nigeria’s Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has withdrawn from this weekend’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Tanzania.
The sports radio station says the LOSC Lille goalkeeper has notified coach Sunday Oliseh that he would not be available for the encounter in Da Es Salaam because of personal reasons.
This could present Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme with an opportunity to debut for Nigeria.
Enyimba’s Femi Thomas is expected to be called up as a replacement for the Enyeama, whose last appearance came in the 2-0 victory over Chad in June.
He becomes the second player to pull out of the coach Oliseh squad after the injured Italy-based Joel Obi.
