f-stop introduces the featherweight Loka UL

    Focused, Streamlined, & Simplified

Responding to the requests of many photographers wanting to go further, faster and longer, f-stop’s Loka UL is modeled on the popular Mountain Series Loka pack, but engineered to its purest form.

Simplified for weight reduction and agility, Loka UL keeps you focused on getting the shot while using less energy getting you there – a true “dawn to dusk” pack.

    Premium Design & Components

Using only the best, proven parts and materials in its design, f-stop packs function as well as they look. Utilizing lighter all-nylon webbing, reversed YKK® zippers, a specially designed harness, internal aluminum frame and a light-but-strong 210D ripstop nylon water-repellent shell makes Loka UL more than a third lighter than the already light, but heavier duty Mountain Series Loka without any compromise to the extreme build quality that f-stop is renowned for.

Great components are only the beginning, f-stop’s unwavering attention to design detail ensures a pack created not only to look after the gear inside, but the photographer carrying it on epic adventures too. An ergonomic harness that distributes load perfectly and features that fall to hand intuitively – we even included an elasticated energy-bar holder on the harness strap to save you time and energy when refueling!

    Modular System

The new Loka UL works hand-in-hand with f-stop’s Internal Camera Unit (ICU) nucleus system. Available in a wide range of sizes, ICU’s enable users to select the ideal sized padded insert for their camera equipment, allowing them to balance their load between camera gear and other essentials such as extra layers, food, etc. Completely removing the ICU also allows the shell to be used simply as an incredible trekking pack. Recommended in combination with our Shallow series ICUs, the Loka UL will accept Pro, Slope and Micro products too.

Loka UL will arrive in stores and online at the beginning of June in time for the best of the Outdoors season, priced at $249. For more information, visit www.fstopgear.com

    Company Profile
f-stop was founded by Druid Orion in 2006 following conversations with frustrated outdoor, wildlife and adventure travel photographers struggling to find a product that fitted their desire to express themselves creatively in an extreme environment. With a curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit, the brand was born in a small garage in Utah. Eight years later, f-stop has laid its roots in St. Louis, Missouri, and is staffed by a small team fanatical about photography, mountain sports and protecting the great outdoors we love to photograph.

Every pack is designed and tested in conjunction with a pool of Staff Pro photographers and filmmakers, giving us insight into just about every obstacle the modern outdoor creative comes up against. Our packs are put through their paces in the real world by bleeding edge shooters working in some of the most challenging environments on earth making sure the final products are best in class.

A strongly ethical business, the f-stop philosophy is all about documenting the world we live in and making it a better place. Working with photographers worldwide and regularly undertaking social good projects, there is a real culture of “doing it right” where “good enough” doesn’t exist.
