Ekiti State Governor has again reiterated his commitment and support for commercial motorcyclists in the state, saying for no reason will he ban the okada riders.
Addressing members of the Executive members of the Okada riders Union, the Governor directed them to fix a date where he will personally meet with all okada riders to discuss with them.
The Governor who maintained that all riders have to register with the State government to check mate activities of men of the underworld, said efforts must be made by the riders to ensure that the society is kept clean.
The State helmsman informed the Union leaders to ensure there is no faction, saying all okada riders must operate under a single Union, assuring them that micro credit loan will be made available to their trader wives.
Meanwhile, Ekiti State Governor has formally hung the portrait of former Governor Oni alongside other former governors to indicate the full restoration of his benefits as a former governor.
Addressing Press after hanging the portrait, the governor maintained that everyone who has served the state in one capacity or the other must be compensated in the same respect.
He emphasized his readiness to work with all members of the society irrespective of party and religious affiliations.
