The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of retired Brigadier General Uwem Harold Udokwe of the Nigerian Army.
According to verifiable media outlets, General Udokwe was murdered by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in the nation’s capital on Saturday.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed in a statement that the deceased was attacked and killed at his Sunshine Homes Estate residence around 3 am on Saturday.

“Upon receipt of the report of the incident, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding this regrettable event,” Adeh stated.
The PPRO conveyed the CP’s condolences to the family of the deceased and assured them and the public of swift justice.
He declared that the perpetrators of this heinous act would be apprehended and brought to justice.
