Report from Office of the head of Civil Service of the Federation.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Public Service to scale up efforts at improving on their efficiency and performance in terms of productivity.
Danladi Kifasi, who disclosed this in his office in Abuja, said that it is in this regard that his Office has issued a circular to all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government, drawing attention of all Federal Civil Servants to strictly keep to the official hours of 8am-4pm.
The Head of Service warned that civil servants who have the habit of coming to work late, deliberately abstaining from work or even not doing any work at all during office hours should begin to have a change of attitude as appropriate sanctions would be applied to erring officers according to the Public Service Rules.
He assured Nigerians that in spite of the absence of Ministers in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government, activities of government were going on as usual and that the country is not at a standstill.
