The Department of State Services (DSS) has continued a clampdown on security officials who served under ex-president Goodluck Jonathan. The latest is Mr Gordon Obuah, whose questioning came barely 24 hours after the harassment of Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), former National Security Adviser (NSA).
The former security operatives were questioned over trump up allegations of fraud, according to Frontiersnews.com
The former CSO was invited for questioning by the by the Department of State Security (DSS), at the agency’s headquarters, in Abuja.
A top security source told Frontiersnews that Mr. Obuah was directed to report to the DSS headquarters, Abuja during the weekend. When he did, he was grilled for several hours. It could, however, not be confirmed if the agents of the government detained Mr. Obuah or granted him an administrative bail.
Mr. Sambo, the former NSA was interrogated and his house searched, in Abuja, on Thursday. Vital documents including and cash were seized by DSS operatives, allegedly on the order of the president.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has raised the alarm over the development which it said amounted to witch-hunting of everyone who worked for the past president.
