Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to react to reports that the club is planning to buy Erling Haaland’s cover before the transfer window closes. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if it is true that Haaland cannot play every single game this season, he has players like Foden and McAtee who can step up in his absence.
Pep added that he believes the team will remain as it until the end of the transfer window.
His words, “Erling cannot play every game. The absence of Oscar Bobb is a big, big blow.
But Phil (Foden) can play there, close to the box. (James) McAtee can play there, because he’s really good in these spaces, and even Gundo can play there. I don’t know what’s going to happen at the end of the market, but I think we’re going to continue in that way.”
