Former youth leader of Benue South All Progressive Congress, APC, and Director of Operations, Alia/Ode Campaign Organization, Hon Anthony Adah, has advised party leaders to sheath their swords and embrace peace ahead of the next general elections in the state.
Hon Adah, speaking during an interaction with journalists in Makurdi on Saturday, highlighted the detrimental effects of the lingering internal crisis rocking the party in the State.
He expressed concerns that the ongoing discord could significantly impact the party’s welfare.

The party has been embroiled in a deep crisis, leading to the formation of a faction loyal to Governor Hyacinth Alia and subsequent power struggles among party leaders in the state.
Adah condemned the polarization of the party and urged leaders to set aside personal interests for the greater good of the state.
He emphasized the need for unity, stating that the current animosity is unnecessary.
Despite having prominent politicians like Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and a reverend gentleman as governor, Adah expressed disappointment over the lack of progress and peace within the party.
Adah cautioned all parties involved in the crisis, warning that if the situation is not resolved promptly, the build-up to the 2027 election in the state could be marred by violence.
He also called on Governor Alia not to discriminate against youths perceived to be “SGF Boys,” noting that every member of the APC in the State, including the governor, was recruited by Sen Akume for the party’s victory.
