Recognized for Outstanding Innovation in Healthcare
London – June 3, 2014 – Fortrus Ltd today announced that the EMC® Information Intelligence Group (IIG) has presented the company with an Innovation Award for Outstanding Industry Solution for Healthcare. The award recognizes excellence and innovation in solution development, design integration, and best practices for implementation and deployment.
The Unity Unified Health Viewer, an EMC Certified Solution, was recognized for its ability to turn time-consuming, paper-based records into accessible, easily updated Unified Health Records, creating a chronological time line of each patient’s history. The solution’s data integration includes scanned images of the paper medical record, joined with PAS, pathology, radiology, correspondence, images, video, graphics, and information from other hospitals’ IT systems-all information associated with each patient, in one place. Through the intuitive interface and use of the Unity search tools, a clinician can quickly view data by attendance, document type, date, or specialty, allowing information to be found far quicker and easier than ever before, whilst also enabling information to be readily available to colleagues as required.
“The Unity solution provided by Fortrus is unique because it focuses on the user experience throughout the software development cycle right through to implementation and beyond. Unity allows clinicians to see patient information across multiple systems and across other organisations within the healthcare industry in an intuitive way, whilst ensuring continued rapid access to that information,” said Jon Atkin, Business Development Director at Fortrus Ltd. “Clinical acceptance and validation is crucial throughout this process and the move to accessing information from paper to digital is speeding up because of this. Buy in from the clinicians from the outset means the projects get rolled out more efficiently and the benefits can be realised more quickly.”
“As information grows exponentially, innovation in enterprise content management becomes critical to the health and growth of organisations around the globe,” said Karthik Manimozhi, Head of Worldwide Alliances and Channel Sales, EMC Information Intelligence Group. “Fortrus is not only being recognised as an innovator and valued EMC Certified Solution partner, but as a company bringing significant business value to our customers.”
The EMC Certified Solution designation is awarded to partners following rigorous review by EMC Proven Professional Certified Architects and validation by an independent, third-party organization. Each solution receives an in-depth design review focusing on functional completeness, performance and scalability, security, deployability, supportability, and interoperability with Documentum®, Documentum xCP, EMC Captiva® and other EMC products, which instills customer confidence in the solution architecture and foundation.
