The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has dismissed reports circulating online about an ongoing recruitment exercise, urging job seekers to beware of scammers.
This clarification was made in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide.
He emphasized that the warning became necessary due to fraudulent attempts to deceive unsuspecting job seekers.
“The attention of the FRSC has been drawn to a publication by online platforms misinforming the public about ongoing recruitment of personnel into the services of the Corps.
This medium is to let the public know that the Corps is not recruiting at the moment, nor is there any ongoing arrangement to that effect,” Ogungbemide stated.
He quoted the Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, advising applicants and the general public to disregard the fake publications.
He assured that the FRSC’s recruitment processes are transparent, credible, and always made public.
Ogungbemide further explained that official recruitment exercises are announced via advertisements and notifications on verified media platforms, including the Corps’ website, social media channels, and the National Traffic Radio.
“The public is by this publication warned to desist from any form of engagement with the purported scammers and purveyors of the misinformation, as the Corps will not be liable should anyone fall victim,” he added.
The FRSC urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and verify any recruitment information through official channels.
