Suspected Fulani herdsmen have again unleashed terror on Benue communities, reportedly slaughtering two teenage girls on Friday.

Another teenager was also said to have been inflicted with life-threatening injuries by the group of armed men, who attacked Zongo village in Guma Local Government Area of Benue state.

The three teenagers were said to have left their homes in search of firewood in the bush, before they fell victims to the attack by the armed men, who waylaid them.

“The third girl, Jergba, who luckily escaped with her life, ran back to the village in a pool of blood and was instantly rushed to a public hospital in Makurdi where she is currently receiving treatment after which the Police was alerted,” reports Thisday, citing a source.
