The teaser for the upcoming season 8 of “Game of Thrones” have been released by HBO.
TV Network, HBO have shared the first look of what to expect from the final season of the popular series, which will return to the screen in 2019.
The centrepiece series that parades intriguing characters like John Snow, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Tyrion Lannister and the fiery dragons ended with a grand finale in Season 7 that left fans anticipating for more.
The new season may have the least amount of episodes but it had the longest shooting schedule.
The new footage is buried among a lot of shots of season seven, including a clip of Gendry swinging an axe, Daenerys and Tyrion having a pensive moment, and some dragon fire, and shows Jon Snow back hugging Sansa Stark at their family home of Winterfell, while she gives someone out of shot a very shady side-eye look.
Even though the teaser lasted for only a couple of seconds but succeeded in pointing to certain things to expect when the series returns.
Firstly, Jon Snow is set to make a return to Winterfell, where he reunites with Sansa, who he left as steward of the North to go hunt the White Walkers.
The show is however not likely to return in the previously expected first quarter of 2019, even though filming has now finished with post-production underway, the show is now set to feature in the middle of the year.
