LAS VEGAS, NV–(Marketwired – Jan 23, 2014) – The Gaming Standards Association welcomes Playtech as a new Platinum member. Playtech is GSA’s first Platinum member whose business is primarily based in the online gaming space. The organization joins GSA’s other member companies in the task of overseeing standards development for the gaming industry.
Shay Segev Playtech’s COO commented, “Playtech brings proven experience to GSA and we are very excited to join GSA as a Platinum member. We strongly believe our extensive industry experience will enable us to contribute tremendously to GSA’s gaming standards development for the benefit of the entire industry. The addition to GSA will also allow us to enhance our open platform functionality and ensure unification across providers’ offerings that will enable endless possibilities in terms of content integration. Such amalgamation will simplify both operators and regulators’ needs industry wide.”
GSA President Peter DeRaedt said, “Playtech joining the association will be driving force supporting our strategic plan and ensuring the association’s continued relevance within the industry. As a Platinum member, and with their vast experience and knowledge in the interactive gaming market, Playtech will take a leadership role in our Online Gaming Committee (OGC). The OGC is just beginning its efforts to create online gaming standards, and GSA encourages like-minded businesses to join us so that they, too, can provide direct input into the future of online gaming.”
GSA continues to believe that collaboration is key to the success of the gaming industry. Earlier this month, GSA welcomed nine new international members and will have a significant presence at the ICE Totally Gaming show in London, stand #N4-100. At the show, GSA will discuss its standards and initiatives, particularly the new activities of our Online Gaming Committee. The OGC is working diligently to bring the same levels of standardization and success to online gaming that GSA committees and standards have brought to land-based gaming over the past 15 years.
GSA offers a range of membership levels to suit any company’s budget and business interests. For more information on the many benefits of membership, call (510) 492-4060 or visit gamingstandards.com.
