Gboyega Oyetola Should Not Appeal The Tribunal’s Judgement – PDP

Osun State Governor Mr Gboyega OyetolaPDP has appealed to Governor Gboyega Oyetola to forget about attempting to appeal the judgement of the tribunal that sacked him as Osun State governor last week.

The tribunal realized that the supplementary election for the inconclusive September 22 poll was illegal and therefore deducted the scores of both major candidates, to arrive at the conclusion that Mr Adeleke was the real winner based on the results of the initial ballot.

Nigerian government office holders have always appealed judgements like this to the highest applicable jurisdiction, and Mr Oyetola will most likely follow suit.

However, PDP recently said that Mr Oyetola practises Islam, and the religion “teaches fairness, equality, peace and truthfulness,he should search his conscience and ask this pertinent question ‘did I truly win the governorship election’”

PDP spokesperson, Diran Odeyemi continued, ” a refined gentleman, very religious but whose gubernatorial election was favourably manipulated by APC and INEC to discredit his person and personal belief and we believe he will not want his integrity to be dragged into the mud.”

PDP’s words of advice does not tally with what their defeated presidential candidate is doing after he lost out to Buhari, Atiku Abubakar is currently in court, claiming he won.
