Ghana FA holds Sports Medicine Seminar Dec. 18

Two visiting Medical Facilitators will lead the discussion in a Sports Medicine seminar to be organised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday, 18 December 2014 in Accra.
Helen Millson, an elite Sport Physiotherapist who works as a Medical Advisor for the insurers of the English Premier League will be joined Dr Yetsa Tuakli-Wosornu, a board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School to lecture on evidence-based topics.
The GFA’s Medical Committee members will also be in attendance to share practical experiences.
Topics to be addressed include groin and hip quandries and empowering minorities in sport.
The one-day seminar will start at 10H00 GMT at the GFA Headquarters with the target being groups like Team Doctors, Physiotherapists, Masseurs, Red Cross and St. John Ambulance services.
