Head of Service of Ekiti State, Dr Gbenga Faseluka has stressed the need for a synergy between the political class and civil servants in advancing good governance and delivering the goods of governance to the people of Ekiti State.’
The Head of Service called for the partnership while playing host to the leadership of Reformed Agenda for Advancing Governance (RAFAG) who paid him a courtesy visit in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.
Dr Faseluka who said the political class and the civil servants are not rivals but partners stated that good governance has to be driven by the bureaucratic and political classes since they are both working to deliver incentives of government to the people.
He said workers are trained to serve the government of the day and actualize its set objective of transforming the society.
The Head of Service asserted that the State Civil Service under him has the capacity to help government actualize its policies and Programmes even as the workers now respectfully relate with the public in a manufacturer- customer manner.
Earlier, the chairman of RAFAG, Prince Diran Omotoso had explained that the socio-political group was established to ensure that government runs well while the dividends of democracy are adequately delivered to the people.
Omotoso who urged all and sundry to support the government of Dr Ayodele Fayose in transforming Ekiti State said the Governor is poised to actualize programmes that will be beneficial to the people of Ekiti State.
