Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged his administration’s commitment to easing the suffering of the state’s residents.
Speaking at the inauguration of the State Food Security Committee in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke stated that his government is implementing various pro-people programs to address the current economic crisis.
“We are working hard to alleviate the hardships faced by our people. Our administration has introduced several policy options to ease the burden on the populace,” Governor Adeleke said.

The governor highlighted the need to tackle the deepening economic conflict, stating that his government is already taking action in many areas.
He emphasized the importance of food security and the distribution process, as well as other palliative measures for the people.
The newly inaugurated committee is tasked with suggesting measures to strengthen food production, expand farming activities through state incentives, organize youth conferences to encourage agriculture, and monitor foodstuff marketing and pricing.
Governor Adeleke urged the committee to work swiftly and produce an interim report in the next few days.
He emphasized the importance of addressing current issues with urgency and stated that the committee’s report would receive his administration’s full attention.
In response, Committee Chairman Tola Faseru, who is also the Commissioner for Agriculture, assured the governor of the committee’s commitment to delivering on its mandate.
He pledged that the committee would work diligently to fulfill its responsibilities.
