Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has approved the appointment of two new permanent secretaries in the state’s public service.
The appointments were made to fill vacancies created by the recent retirement of two permanent secretaries.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, Governor Abiodun approved the appointments to ensure the smooth functioning of the state’s administrative structure, particularly in its Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), and to maintain continuity and stability in governance at all levels.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Engr. Muritala Alabi Adekunle, Director at Grade level 17 from the Ministry of Rural Development, and Engr. Olufisan Ayodele Osiyale, Director at HAPPS 17 from the Local Government Service Commission.
The appointments were made in accordance with the provisions of section 208 (C) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), taking into consideration merit, professionalism, inclusiveness, and seniority in the civil/public service of the state.
The statement urged the newly appointed permanent secretaries to demonstrate commitment, diligence, and selflessness in their new roles, emphasizing the importance of pursuing excellence in service in line with the “Building Our Future Together” agenda of Governor Abiodun’s administration.
Engr. Adekunle previously served as the Project Coordinator of the Ogun State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project under the Ministry of Rural Development. Engr. Osiyale held the position of Director of Works and Housing at Ado/Odo Ota Local Government before his appointment as permanent secretary.
