Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has taken swift action by approving the immediate payment of gratuity to the family of the late Director of Finance and Administration, Taiwo Oyekanmi.
This decision aims to alleviate the financial impact of his untimely demise on the grieving family.
Governor Abiodun conveyed this announcement during the memorial service held in honor of the deceased at Ibara Baptist Church on Wednesday.

Expressing condolences to Mrs. Oyekanmi, the governor reiterated his commitment to supporting the family during this difficult time.
“I also promised when I came to see you, Mrs. Oyekanmi, that we would not leave you and that we would stand by you. The Almighty God himself will be with you.
But we will stand by you. We will support you and your family,” Governor Abiodun stated.
In addition to the immediate gratuity payment, the governor assured that the state would take over the responsibility of the education of the deceased’s children.
Furthermore, he instructed the Ministry of Housing to provide the family with one of the state’s affordable homes.
Emphasizing that the government’s support is exclusively for the widow and children, Governor Abiodun called on the extended family to rally behind them.
In response, Mr. Lanre Oyekanmi, speaking on behalf of the family, acknowledged the government’s assistance and pledged the family’s commitment to supporting the widow and children, describing the loss as not only personal but also a communal tragedy for the Ifoyintedo community.
