Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has cautioned his just sworn-in commissioners to abstain from corruption and other unscrupulous practices.
Before he sends them packing, he gave notice to those whose only goal in life is wealth.
He issued this warning in a post on Thursday on his social media account.
He emphasized to them the importance of dedication and equity in carrying out their responsibilities.
“To all commissioners sworn in today: You have been selected from among the many talented people that Adamawa State possesses in large quantities. It is therefore crucial that you fulfill your responsibilities with dedication and equity. Steer clear of corruption and corrupt tendencies at all costs.
It is important to stress that the call you have answered is one of service, not of material gain. “You are in the wrong position, and I strongly advise you to voluntarily step down before I ship you out if your only goal in life is wealth,” the man stated.
