The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly are currently participating in an emergency meeting.
Edison Ehie, who is now serving a suspension as the leader of the House, is also present at the meeting.
According to some sources, the meeting may or may not have any connection to the recent crisis that has been shaking the political arena in the state.

This crisis resulted in the suspension of the leader of the House, along with six other members of the legislature.
As of the time when this report was written, it is unknown how many members of the Assembly were currently attending the meeting.
