During the 2023 Ngboejogu Nation Day Celebration held at the Central School Ngbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Governor Francis Nwifuru reiterated his commitment to ending all communal clashes in the state.
Represented by the Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mr. Chinedu Onah, Governor Nwifuru assured citizens that his administration would prioritize the security of lives and property in the state.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the return of peace between the Ngbo community and their Agila neighbors in Benue State.

He urged stakeholders from both sides to work together to maintain this peace.
Highlighting the importance of a peaceful environment for development, Governor Nwifuru announced plans to construct a road linking Ngbo in Ebonyi State and Agila in Benue State to facilitate trade and strengthen communal relationships.
In a remark earlier in the event, Senator Sam Egwu, a former Governor of Ebonyi State and the Senator who represented Ebonyi North Senatorial District in the 9th and 10th Senate, urged stakeholders to leverage the gains of the celebration to chart a more distinct direction for the Ngbo nation, free from internal conflicts.
Represented by his media aide, Mr. Samuel Okpor, Senator Egwu congratulated the Ngbo people for achieving peace and called for continued growth, development, love, and unity among them.
