Governor Seriake Dickson has mocked members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state over their inability to establish Federal Government projects in the state.
Dickson said instead of plotting to cause division in the state, the Bayelsa APC members should lobby for government projects to be cited in the state.
He called on all people of Bayelsa to join government in developing the state, adding that everyone is needed.
Governor Dickson also referred to the opposition party members as his brothers and sisters.
He said “Bayelsa State deserves adequate representation considering the fact that it contributes immensely to the national economy. The time has come for all Bayelsans to key into the restoration agenda, and also extend a hand of fellowship to members of the main opposition party to close ranks with his administration in actualising the vision of the restoration agenda.”
Speaking on the issue of militancy in the region, he said military intervention might not be the best solution.
Seriake Dickson also praised President Muhammadu Buhari for not interfering with Bayelsa state politics.
