Governor Uba Sani has called on states facing security challenges to adopt the Kaduna State Model, emphasizing the success of its non-kinetic approach in addressing insecurity.
Speaking on Sunday as the Special Guest of Honour at an event organized by the Association of Zamfara State Indigenes Resident in Kaduna, Governor Sani, represented by his Special Adviser on Community Engagement, Malam Mohammed Jalal, highlighted the positive impact of the strategy, particularly in previously volatile areas like Birnin Gwari.
He noted that the non-kinetic approach, which focuses on dialogue and community engagement, has contributed to the restoration of peace in Birnin Gwari, allowing economic activities to flourish once again.

“The return of peace to Birnin Gwari has not only improved security but has also revived livelihoods, with markets and businesses resuming operations,” he said.
Governor Sani credited the success to the efforts of the Peace Dialogue Group, a collaborative initiative involving the state government, federal agencies, and security services.
This group has played a critical role in calming tensions and fostering peace in the region.
The governor also highlighted the reopening of the strategic Birnin Gwari Market on November 29, 2024, after nearly a decade of closure due to security concerns.
Similarly, the Kidandan Market in Giwa Local Government Area, which had been neglected for years because of insecurity, has also been reopened, signaling progress in restoring normalcy to affected communities.
Since assuming office, Governor Sani has remained committed to achieving sustainable peace across Kaduna State, underscoring the importance of collaboration and dialogue in addressing security challenges.
He urged other states to consider adopting this approach to combat insecurity and promote stability.
