Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has charged Abia delegates to the forthcoming national conference to represent the state well and articulate in clear terms the state’s position on issues that will come up for discourse.
The governor who gave the charge when he met with the delegates at the Government House, Umuahia, said the conference would involve brainwork, adding that it will be an opportunity for them to showcase Abia and themselves.
He urged them to be guided by the position articulated by the Technical Committee set up by the state government on Abia’s views and assured them of the support of the state.
Governor Orji reminded them that they were chosen as the best to represent the state and encouraged them to put in their best in the assignment.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Leader of the team and former Senate President, Senator Adolf Wabara assured the governor that they will fight for Abia with one voice and be guided by the report of the Technical Committee and thanked the governor for finding them worthy to represent the state, promising that they will not let the state down.
The delegates include Senator Adolphus Wabara, Senator Ike Nwachukwu, Chief Chukwu Wachuku, Prof. Anya O. Anya and Dame Victoria Akanwa.
Others are Prof. Joshua Ogbonnaya, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), Mrs Nkechi Mba and Comrade Lucky Akabuike .
