Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker Chigozie Atuanya is set to release his upcoming movie titled “Habakkuk” on YouTube. The project is scheduled to be uploaded on Saturday, the 21st of June, and the date reflects the special dynamics of digital distributiono.
Unlike regular cinema releases that take advantage of weekend traffic, YouTube‘s algorithm and viewing patterns seem to favour different scheduling strategies, a reality that Chigozie Atuanya Nolly TV hopes to capitalize on.

Set to go live by 5 PM on Saturday, June 21st, “Habakkuk” will dazzle viewers with its perfect combination of comedy and drama that Chigozie has described as “funny, a little bit comic and intriguing.”
It’s not all laughter and happiness, though, because the brilliant project will also be delivering deep lessons about the complex life we all live in.
The filmmaker revealed that the project tells a story about different outcomes in life, with major emphasis on the things human beings enjoy at the moment that would eventually lead to destruction in the near future.
“Habakkuk is a wonderful movie that tells its own story about what people believe and what people don’t believe, so many messages about people’s lives outcomes. There are so many things we enjoy today in life and we think it’s by our power, not knowing that it leads to destruction,” he said.
The movie delivers a perception vs reality concept, and Chigozie wants viewers to watch with an open mind that will be ready to learn from its humorous and reflective storyline.
He further encouraged Nollywood fans to look beyond surface appearances to fully understand the real truths that lie underneath.
Chigozie Atuanya is an Anambra State-born Nollywood producer who has battled and conquered several challenges in his production career thus far.
He has never shied away from speaking about past issues that epitomize the deceit that goes down in the business side of Nollywood.
The actor once shared a painful experience that saw him earn nothing from one of his early productions after he entrusted it to dubious distributors.
“I had no option than stake my generator to be able to finish the movie,” he said, revealing the financial sacrifices independent producers often make to keep the cameras rolling.
Despite the hurdles on the way, Chigozie has kept building his filmmaking career via sheer determination and strategic collaborations.
One of his previous movies, “Chetanna” went as far as premiering across 4 U.S. states, which marked a major turning point in his production career.
Apart from “Habakkuk,” the moviestar has produced another project titled “Ezedike,” which, according to him, was an interesting movie that he needed 4 more shooting days to complete, after exhausting the original schedule.
His latest work is presently in post-production and is expected to hit YouTube after “Habakkuk.”
Chigozie Atuanya believes that being a filmmaker and an actor helps him to remain in control of his creativity while he manages the administrative aspects of production.
“I act and I produce, so I feel more comfortable in that,” he added.
Nollywood fans all across the globe are advised to subscribe to Chigozie Atuanya Nolly TV on YouTube ahead of Saturday’s premiere.
