In an attempt to reinvigorate the civil service for optimal performance and service delivery the Head of Service of the Federation (HOSF), Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji has held interactive session with federal civil servants in Kogi state.
The HOSF was represented at the one day interactive session held on Wednesday, 20th Nov, 2013 by the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Information [FMOI] Dr. Folashade Omolara Yemi-Esan.
While in the State the Permanent Secretary accompanied by some top officials of the Ministry of Information, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the State, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada at the Government House, Lokoja.
Receiving the team, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada, said the state government has fully embraced the transformation agenda of the Federal Government, describing the visit as the first of its kind.
The Governor assured that his administration would continue to support federal establishments operating in the state adding that access to land; accommodation and conducive environment would always be created for enterprise and habitation.
Governor Wada expressed gratitude to the federal government for its support to the state especially the appointment of the state indigenes into key positions.
Earlier, Dr,. Yemi-Esan, commended the governor for the good work he was doing in the state and informed him that the visit was to interact with the federal civil servants in the state for higher productivity.
She further appealed for office accommodation as well as assistance to Federal Information Centre, Lokoja to take possession of the plot allocated to them by the state government for the building of their office.
Also speaking, the Kogi State Head of Service, said the development road map put in place by the present administration of the state is quite commendable.
He said government has established the practice of governance that is in line with the need of the immediate environment of the state.
The permanent secretary was accompanied to the interactive visit by nine officers from Federal Ministry of Information which included, Mr. Peter Dama (Director, Public Relations and Protocol) Mallam Daud B. Sule (Deputy Director Training and staff welfare), Alh Yekini Umar (Director National Archive), Mallam Sule Umar (Director of Finance) and Segun Imohiosen (Technical Assistant to the Permanent Secretary).
