Hollywood actress Viola Davis has opened up about life as a novelist. Recall that the moviestar and James Patterson are the co-authors of “Judge Stone,” a legal thriller in which a teenage abortion case electrifies a small Alabama town.
According to her, it does not matter if it’s writing a movie character or telling a story in a book, the aim is always to create a real human being and pass a message.

Viola added that having the chance to work with the great Patterson made the experience even more worth it.
Her words, “My agent called and said, ‘Would you like to collaborate on a book with James Patterson?’ And I was like, ‘Wait a minute, hold up!’
James Patterson, he’s the bomb. Judge Mary Stone is a Black woman dedicated to justice, community and her farm — It reinvigorated my faith in what could be created in this art form, I’m just going to say it, for Black women.
The story contains so many formidable, complicated, just surprising human beings.
The foundation for me, collaborating on this book, is the very foundation of being an artist. Whether you’re writing a character on the page or bringing one from the page to the screen, you’re actually creating a real human being. That was the task for me and James.”
WOW.
The cinema of the United States, consisting mainly of major film studios (also known metonymously as Hollywood) along with some independent films, has had a large effect on the global film industry since the early 20th century.
The dominant style of American cinema is classical Hollywood cinema, which developed from 1910 to 1962 and is still typical of most films made there to this day.
Hollywood is considered to be the oldest film industry, in the sense of being the place where the earliest film studios and production companies emerged. It is the birthplace of various genres of cinema —among them comedy, drama, action, the musical, romance, horror, science fiction, and the epic—and has set the example for other national film industries.
Many of Hollywood’s highest-grossing movies have generated more box-office revenue and ticket sales outside the United States than films made elsewhere. The United States is a leading pioneer in motion picture engineering and technology.
