Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has apologized if he was responsible for dashing Manuel Pellegrini’s dreams of a quadruple when he was in charge of managing Manchester City.
The coach from Chile was set for four trophies in one season before Pep Guardiola was announced as the next manager to take over.
He ended up winning only the EFL Cup, with several moments of his farewell season being clouded by Pep’s looming arrival.
Reacting to this, pep said, “I think the decision was consulted by all parts, I think everybody was honest,” said the Catalan of his decision to swap Bayern Munich for City. “But I don’t know, only Manuel can answer (if it affected him).
“I’m sorry for what happened, but the intention was not to create a problem for him when he was here.”
Manchester City won their second EFL Cup under Pep Guardiola after defeating Chelsea in the final on Sunday.
