Almost a decade after Kim Kardashian was tied up and robbed at gunpoint in Paris, 8 people have been found guilty in connection with the heist, even though none of them will be returning to prison. The sad incident, which happened during Paris Fashion Week in 2016, saw the reality TV star lose more than $9 million worth of jewellery, including a $4 million engagement ring.
According to the Daily Mail, the convicted group got sentences ranging from 3 to 8 years. However, most of their sentences have been suspended due to age and health issues.

Even though the court acknowledged the emotional damage done to Kim, it said that sending the culprits back to jail would be ethically wrong because of their life-threatening illnesses, which include cancer and parkinson’s.
Kim Kardashian, who did not attend the hearing on Friday, has confirmed that she has beefed up her security and reduced how often she posts in real time since the incident.
Her words, “While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability.”
