Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out to say that Bailly didn’t play vs Liverpool as a precaution. Ole recently revealed that he cannot push the Ivorian too hard at the moment because of his injury history.
According to him, Bailly would be available on Wednesday vs Sheffield United, and he only missed out in the FA Cup because of a minor injury.
He added that there are no guarantees that Eric will feature against Sheffield, but he is available for selection.
His words, “Eric will be available [to face Sheffield United].”
“It was just a little thing that I didn’t want to risk him. We had cover on the bench and Victor was ready so there was no point on taking a risk with Eric.”
“He’s fine, there’s no problem. I can’t say if he’s playing or not, but he’s fit and available for selection for Wednesday.”
