Ex Italy international, Gaetano D’Agostino has come out to say that he feels Victor Osimhen can be like Mirko Vucinic and Vincenzo Iaquinta under Luciano Spalletti.He recently revealed that he is really looking forward to the Nigerian dazzling in the Serie A next season.
According to him, he is very curious to see Osimhen do well at his new club because he clearly has the potential to take Napoli to the next level.
Gaetano added that fast players thrive under Spalletti so he expects the manager to get the best out of the striker.
His words, “What do I think of Victor Osimhen, the number 9 of Napoli? I’m curious to see him at work after a year in which he is already used to Serie A.”
“He can do like Mirko Vucinic at Roma or Vincenzo Iaquinta to Spalletti’s Udinese: if you remember, they were both fast and did very well with the coach, who was able to exalt them.”
“In the meantime, I saw Koulibaly up close and I must say that for me he has the temperament of a captain.”
“He has a lot of personality and is also recognized by his teammates. I realized that he talks a lot and often with the team and I like that.”
“Koulibaly is one of the vice-captains in this squad. As far as I am concerned, he is staying at Napoli. It’s not easy to find a replacement for him, all his teammates appreciate him and I’ve realised he talks constantly on the pitch. Everyone respects his presence in the locker room.”
