Manchester City midfielder, Rodri has come out to back Lionel Messi to win his eighth Ballon d’Or award ahead of Erling Haaland. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if Haaland had a great season with exceptional numbers on the pitch, he expects Lionel Messi to clinch the award ahead of him.

Rodri added that he is not thinking about individual awards personally, and he would rather focus on the team.
His words, “I think a certain Leo Messi is going to take it. Haaland is also a very large figure and has merits.”
On if he deserves it too, “I know it’s an individual award with a lot of marketing. Among the monsters I’m with, of course, I lacked marketing, like Xavi and Iniesta. I worry about the things I can control, which is the collective awards.”
WOW.
Erling Braut Haaland is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Manchester City and the Norway national team. Along with playing football from an early age, Haaland took part in various other sports as a child, including handball, golf, and track and field.
