Manchester United may not be the right destination for Matheus Cunha, former Wolves striker, Goodman has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he would question if MUFC is the best move if he was Cunha because the club has a lot of rebuilding to do to get to where it needs to be.

Goodman added that he’d be shocked if Cunha doesn’t have options to join better teams, so the Brazilian should consider all options.
His words, “I wonder whether Matheus Cunha should have reservations about signing for Manchester United. At this moment, if I were Cunha, I would be questioning whether it would be a good move right now joining United, who have a lot of ground to make up and rebuilding to do to get where he wants to be.
I think he’s a top player who could play for any team in the Premier League or in Europe. That’s how good I think he is. He needs to sort his head out at times, which is a separate issue, but Manchester United would be very lucky to have him.
From his perspective, and I’m not dismissing the history and tradition of Manchester United, I’d be shocked if Matheus Cunha didn’t have options to join better teams. I know it was on a different level but when I left Sunderland, who are a huge club, to join Wolves, it was because Wolves were in a better position to get me to where I wanted to be at that time.
I suppose Manchester United can still win the Europa League, which may change things, but Matheus Cunha will have to sit down and talk through all the offers he’ll receive with his representatives when the season draws to a close.”
WOW.
Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.
Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.
The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
