Fast-rising artist Oluwabukunmi Ariyibi, a.k.a. Kunmie, has said that his hit single “Arike” is more than just a song. He recently had his say during an interview with Saturday Beats, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he never cared about the numbers when he dropped the song this year because he had always been more concerned about the tune helping listeners who needed comfort.

Kunmie added that he actually felt free after he was done recording the song in 2023.
His words, “I believed in the record. I didn’t care about the numbers; I just wanted God to get it to the right people who needed comfort. ‘Arike’ is more than a song; it represents a breakthrough for me. I made it in 2023, and the moment it was done, I felt free.
I’ve always had the feeling that God blessed me with the gift of music, and I’ve trusted Him to lead me. I haven’t even started yet. The vision is way bigger than what people see, and it’s in God’s hands. I have a great team, and we’re working toward the future He has shown us.
I haven’t spoken much about my struggles because I have deep respect for my journey. When the time is right, I’ll unpack that part of the story.”
WOW.
