Ahead of the forthcoming local government polls in Ekiti, Gov. Kayode Fayemi has warned APC leaders against imposition of candidates.
Gov Fayemi said he personally has no preferred candidate for the Dec. 7 election.
In a recent statement by Fayemi’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode, he said the leaders of the state chapter of the party must make sure the process of selecting councillorship and chairmanship candidates is transparent.
His words, “Primaries must be well done in a way that even losers will know that they lost fair and square and I have no preferred candidate anywhere.
“Everybody should go and work for the support of their people. After all, I too went through primaries even as a former governor and leader of the party.”
