World Cup winner Marc Cucurella has released an emotional farewell video to Chelsea supporters. This comes after he completed a £52 million move to Real Madrid, and fans have been reacting.
Expressing his deep gratitude to everyone at the club, Cucurella stated that he’ll always consider London his home.
The Spaniard added that he’ll never forget how Chelsea Football Club made him the player he is today.
His words, “Hi Blues, after four seasons together, it’s time to say goodbye. I have had some time to reflect and remember what we have lived together.
I arrived here as a young lad with the dream of winning many trophies and playing in the Champions League. We had a tough start, it’s true, but with hard work and effort we were able to turn it around.
Thanks to this club and its high expectations today, I can honestly say that London will always be my home and you will always be part of my story.
I won’t forget listening to my song at the stadium, the magical nights at the Bridge, the titles that I’ve won carrying this badge and all the love that you showed me. I now leave the club being a man. I’ve reached a lot of my dreams thanks to you and I want to thank you all for that.
To the coaches and staff for all the advice that you gave me, to my teammates, for all that we have lived together and I won’t forget.”
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.

On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
