Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling has responded to “fake quotes” that has gone viral about things he said about Lionel Messi.
The Red Devils are set to face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals and a number of outlets shared comments made by Smalling on how to stop Messi.
The quotes claimed that the Argentine has his weakness and Smalling knows about it adding that he will reveal them.
The quote was, “There is a weakness in Messi that only I know about. I don’t think the world is aware of that, so I’m not going to talk about it now.”
However, the Manchester United manager recently replied a tweet from Football Daily account and termed the quotes as fake.
Smalling also released a clip on social media which compiled all the fake quotes followed by a video of him laughing.
