Basketball legend, LeBron James has reacted to the concerns about the deadly coronavirus spreading across the world.
This is coming after NBA sent a memo to all 30 teams about the need to be ready for possibly playing games behind closed doors with only essential staff present because of the deadly virus.
NBA insider, Shams Charania had this to say, “The NBA has sent a memo to its franchises explaining that, due to coronavirus outbreak, teams should be preparing to play games without fans in attendance and identifying “essential staff” present for these games – should it be necessary.”
Responding, Lebron has said it is impossible to play without the fans and he will not participate in such games.
He added that the fans and his teammates are who he plays for.
His words, “We play games without the fans? Nah, that’s impossible,’ James said. ‘I ain’t playing if I ain’t got the fans in the crowd. That’s who I play for. I play for my teammates, and I play for the fans. That’s what it’s all about. So if I show up to an arena and there ain’t no fans in there, I ain’t playing. They can do what they want to do.”
