President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to treat all Nigerians equally, irrespective of their tribe or religion.
Buhari said this in a meeting with members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) from the 19 Northern states and Abuja.
The President also called on religious leaders to promote peace and harmony through their teachings.
According to The Nation, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said Buhari also promised to restore peace in troubled spots across the country.
He also said “Restoring peace is top priority. We will enable the law enforcement agencies to combat all forms of violent crimes, and ensure that our people live in peace.”
President Buhari recently revealed that he was scared when he found out that the country had no savings.
