Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has defended his substitutions after being booed during the club’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, all of his substitutions happen to help Tottenham win a football game, so he was pleased with Mathys Tel’s impact off the bench.

Frank added that even though Spurs fans booed his decision to take Simons off for Tel, it paid off in the end.
His words, “Sometimes you are lucky but of course, I would say that every single time I take a decision to sub a player, it is with one aim: to make the team win, or back in the game, or try to see the game out of whatever.
One aim: try to win the game. No doubt Mathys did well, great goal, great involvement and in general I think we played a fine game, positive, but also you need a little bit of freshness.”
WOW.
