President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pondered on how his life’s journey has prepared him for his current role as head of state.
While in India for the G-20 conference, the president addressed a group of his country’s citizens.
Tinubu shared his humble beginnings as a security guard and a school tutor on his way to success.

His opening remarks as president of Nigeria were, “Good education brought me here, and I am happy to stand before you here.”
My humble beginnings… I worked as a guard. I’ve worked as a tutor before. I excelled in the classroom.
For my training, I joined Deloitte, one of the largest accounting firms in the world.
I inquired if they have any locations in Nigeria before deciding to join. they told me, “If you want to go home, we have a lot of clients who will take you.”
That’s how I worked my way up through the ranks at Exxon Mobil as an accountant, auditor, and treasurer before taking my positive outlook into politics.
Do not lose hope; you, too, are capable of achieving your goals. Everyone is welcome in Nigeria. It makes no difference to me where in Nigeria you come from,” the president proclaimed.
