The newly appointed chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff, has said the party, under his leadership would unseat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Sheriff, a former governor of Borno state, gave the assurance today, February 17, while addressing PDP members at the Abia state Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s thanksgiving service in Umuahia, the state capital.

“We are here today, we are starting from here, and we are going to Aso Rock, Insha Allah by 2019. We will head from here and we will do it together,” he said.
He added, “This my long cap is prepared to lead my colleagues and brothers to Aso Rock, Insha Allah. By the grace of Allah nothing will deter this party from going to Aso Rock in 2019. By the time we put down our master-plan I am sure they (APC) will go back to where they came from. And Insha Allah, nothing will stop us.”
Sheriff, who was had been accused of sponsoring extremist sect, Boko Haram, was confirmed as the PDP chairman yesterday, February 16, after the party national caucus meeting held at its secretariat in Abuja.
