Ex-Arsenal forward, Willian has come out to say that he was not happy at the club before his exit. He recently revealed that his sadness in London led to him rejoining Corinthians.
According to him, even if he prefers to not go into details on why he wasn’t happy with the Gunners, he just felt it was time to return to Brazil.
Willian added that he returned to Corinthians to be close to his family and a club that projected him to the world.
His words, “I really thought about it a lot together with my family and close friends. Unfortunately, my time at Arsenal was not good. I was not happy there,”
“I just wasn’t happy, but I will not go into details. But I thought that it was better to come back to Brazil. I looked into some other opportunities but I wanted to come back to Corinthians.”
“I wanted to come back home to be near my family. A club that projected me to the world, that unveiled me and I think now was the right time to come back.”
